PATCH CAFE — Arash Madani House

The design team encountered a project characterized by its patchwork nature. The various facets and sections seemed chaotic at their intersections, leading to the question of whether this diversity could be harnessed as a strength in the project’s narrative. The team’s goal was to create a solid foundation that would allow these intersections to be effectively managed and expressed within a harmonious framework suitable for the project’s context—akin to a patchwork rug that, despite its diverse forms and designs, achieves perfect balance. As a result, the concept of patchwork played a crucial role in reimagining the old building located along Qaem Maqam Street.

Ultimately, we aimed for the visual identity and the content of the project to evoke a spatial sense that resonates with Iranian identity.
